One of the rarest pieces in our collection, this 1800-era black enamel, and gold brooch features a picture glass window in its center. Laid in the center is a woven plait of human hair; a memorial piece used as a remembrance of a loved one.  

Not just for mourning, these Victorian Era pieces were given as tokens of love and affection, with hair plaited by masters of what was then a high art form.
